How to change the IMEI of your mtk Android phone

This post will show you one of the best and easiest method for changing an MTK Android phone's IMEI (phones with MTK processors i.e tecno, Injoo, Infinix, I-tel etc ). The method does not require a PC, though you might need one to generate your Blackberry IMEI on PC with GIPv4.1 or use the phone IMEI gen.

Two apps needed for this process is Mobileuncle App or MTK Engineering mode and the Android device you wish to change its IMEI to blackberry IMEI or any other phones IMEI.

How To Change Your IMEI Using Mobile Uncle Method

This process does not necessarily needs rooting of your phone, it works fine without having to root your phone
1.  Download the Mobile Uncle App from play store Here or get the English version Here
2.  Install, Open it up and go to Engineering Mode

3.  Select Engineer Mode [MTK]
4.  Swipe left to connectivity and select CDS Information

5.  Select Radio Information.
6.  Phone 1 represents sim 1 and Phone 2 sim 2. So Tap Phone 1, you will see a command line like this=>AT+

7. Now just add this line to it EGMR=1,7,"15 digit Imei No you generated"

E.g If you are to change that of sim 1 the command should look exactly like this 

AT +EGMR=1,7,"imei No generated"

AT +EGMR=1,10,"imei No generated" for Sim 2

e.g AT +EGMR=1,10,"123456789123456" 

Pls note there is a space after AT, if u fail to add space, it will not work and always write out your old IMEI before you commence this process.

8. Press SEND AT COMMAND when you are done.

Reboot your phone or activate flight mode for about 5-10 seconds if you do not want to reboot.

Finally verify your IMEI change using *#06#

How To Change Your IMEI Using MTK Engineering mode Method

This method is similar to mobile uncle method, only d app is different

1.    Download MTK Engineering mode from Google Play Store

2.    Install and Open the app and select mtk settings

3.    Follow steps 4 to the end in the mobile uncle process
